AC Shadows Introduces Surprising Attack on Titan Crossover for Holiday Season
In a unexpected collaboration that defies usual expectations, the game developer has announced an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Mission Revealed
According to the authorized announcement, "A mysterious meeting pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where hints of banned practices and terrifying changes echo through the darkness." The storyline introduces a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a secret cult.
The mission centers on "strange experiments and a monstrous foe" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Iconic Settings and Metamorphoses
The preview features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser finishes with a striking scene showing a character, probably the hostage, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Prizes and Extra Content
Players who finish the adventure will receive an exclusive katana in addition to numerous items hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:
